Being Pan
Full of energy, loving, determined and class clown…  are just a few words that describe Pan. He takes after his grandma Luna in character; independent, passionate about whatever he sets his mind on. Pan brings a new dimension to determination- and that can be quite challenging at times. Pan has a strong herding instinct – ‘herding’ or chasing is his no 1 reward.

Those of whom who have met Pan know what a cuddly-bug he is. He believes everybody loves him and want to cuddle with him. Pan is very friendly and polite to other dogs. He sometimes finds it hard to control his excitement about a new person/dog and can be very hard to distract from this. Our little work in progress…

It is beautiful to see Pan living life; open, relaxed, happy and confident (without being rude or pushy).

More Pan;
– Pan greets me every morning with a bow and a “woo-woo- wooooo”;
– He might think he is a mountain goat or might have these genes, he climbs and steps on everything (boxes, benches, tarp, trees, chairs, rubble piles, window sill etc);
– Preferred speed: FAST;
– Loves rolling on the ground and in poo (no dog poo);
– Loves “inhaling” scents;

The Name
Was a long, long hard time thinking. I was determined the name be something meaningful and unique. The requirements for name-picking didn’t make it any easier: start with I, minimum of 3 letters, max. of 10 letters, calling name had to be part of the pedigree name.

I decided on Inspire – “to encourage someone to achieve something great”.  I hope that is exactly what we’ll achieve (inspire people), and I hope my dog will inspire me to be a great ‘mum’ and handler. For a calling name I wanted 1 syllable or something that could be shortened to 1 syllable. And thus of my list, I chose Pan–  “herdsman, god of shepherds/flocks“. What better fit for a Border Collie? So that’s how I came to Luna Tale Inspire Pan. Also, we’ve inspired our first person already; Pan’s sister is called “Inspire” (Pip) as well

Nicknames: Pancake, Puppy, Cheeky Monkey, Peter Pan, Koekje (cookie), Terror Mindy, Pannetje, PanKaki, Cheeky bugga’, Naughty Boy/Pankins
